Terms of Service

Effective September 4, 2026

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using the IronOS mobile application, coaching portal, and website (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. The Service is operated by Data Driven Athlete LLC (“we”, “us”). If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use IronOS. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Upload malicious content, spam, or content that infringes on the rights of others
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without permission
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the data you submit to IronOS (workout logs, notes, videos, body metrics, and, for coaches, the programs and exercise libraries you create). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service. If you are linked to a coach, your workout data and body metrics will be visible to that coach.

6. Coach–athlete relationships

IronOS facilitates communication and program delivery between coaches and athletes. Coaches are independent users of the platform, not employees or agents of Data Driven Athlete LLC. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or suitability of any training program delivered through the Service. You should consult a qualified professional before beginning any exercise program. An athlete may end a coaching relationship at any time from within the app; when a relationship ends, the coach’s access to that athlete’s data ends with it.

7. Coach accounts

If you use IronOS as a coach, you additionally agree that:

  • You will only invite athletes who have agreed to be coached by you through IronOS.
  • You will use athlete data available to you through the Service solely to deliver coaching to that athlete, and will not export, sell, or disclose it for any other purpose without the athlete’s consent.
  • You are responsible for the content of the programs, feedback, and messages you deliver, and for holding any certifications or insurance your practice requires.
  • You will keep your account credentials confidential; anyone with access to your account can see your athletes’ data.

In return, we will not market to, solicit, or sell services to your athletes inside IronOS. Your athletes are your clients, not ours.

8. AI coaching

IronOS offers an optional AI coaching subscription that generates training programs using Anthropic’s Claude API. By subscribing, you acknowledge that your training preferences, workout logs, and check-in responses will be processed by a third-party AI service to create and adjust your program.

AI-generated programs are not a substitute for professional coaching or medical advice. The AI does not have access to your medical history, body weight, or Apple Health data. You are responsible for exercising within your capabilities and consulting a physician if you have health concerns.

AI coaching is available only to athletes who are not linked to a coach, and is billed monthly through the Apple App Store. You can cancel at any time in your device’s subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

9. Health disclaimer

IronOS is a training log and communication tool, not a medical device. Features such as the Durability Score and body metrics are for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice. Always consult your physician before making changes to your exercise or health routine.

10. Subscriptions and payments

Some features of IronOS may require a paid subscription. Athlete subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to the respective store’s terms and refund policies; you can manage or cancel them in your device’s store settings. Coach plans, where offered, are billed by Data Driven Athlete LLC directly on the terms shown at the time of purchase.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the app (More > Settings), or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be permanently removed from the servers within 30 days.

12. Intellectual property

IronOS® is a registered trademark of Data Driven Athlete LLC. The IronOS name, logo, and application design are the property of Data Driven Athlete LLC. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Data Driven Athlete LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
